Requirements

• Certified Respiratory Care Therapist
• Valid and Current Arkansas Board of Respiratory Care
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required one month from hire/transfer date
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) six months from hire/transfer date
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) six months from hire/transfer date

Responsibilities

• Delivering routine therapy as delegated
• Responding to codes and emergent calls
• Assessing patient conditions
• Administering appropriate treatments
• Monitoring, recording, and communicating patient status
• Educating patients and families on illnesses and available community resources
• Managing respiratory care supplies and medical gas cylinders
• Maintaining equipment
• Performing regular cleaning, sterilization, and preventive maintenance
• Adhering to healthcare regulations, including HIPAA
• Applying relevant policies and procedures
• Additional duties may be assigned as needed
