About The Position

Hillsdale Hospital is seeking a part-time Respiratory Therapist (CRT or RRT) to work nights (7p-7a) for 24 hours per week, including every other weekend. This role involves performing diagnostic testing, administering medications, performing pulmonary clearance procedures, and managing ventilator and BIPAP patients. Requirements

Graduate of an accredited program in Respiratory Therapy
Has attained certification (CRT) or registry (RRT) in Respiratory Therapy
Licensed to provide respiratory care in the state of Michigan
BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and TEAM certification (available through Hillsdale Hospital)

Responsibilities

Performs diagnostic testing which may include EKG’s, Holter Monitors, Event monitors, ABG’s, PFT’s, GXT’s and EEG’s
Responsible for the daily maintenance and quality control of the blood gas instruments. This includes proficiency testing as assigned
Administers medication to patients via NMT/MDI/DPI as prescribed by a physician
Performs pulmonary clearance procedures on patients utilizing PEP, Vest and CPT
Charts response and progress of therapies administered in EMR. Appropriate documentation of education and Care Plan.
Follows through with other required documentation (72 hr. reassessments, charges)
Appropriately performs set up and monitoring of ventilator and BIPAP patients, including suctioning and airway maintenance
Prioritizes work load appropriately, completing assignments as expected
Perform other duties as required or assigned
