About The Position

Under the supervision of the Director and/or Assistant Director of Respiratory Care and upon a physician’s request, the Respiratory Therapist sets up and operates various types of respiratory care equipment and provides therapy used in diagnosing and treating patients with respiratory disease, compromise, or illness. The role has full access to patient health information and may have access to medication storage areas, excluding controlled substances, as related to job responsibilities.

This is a full-time, day-shift position working 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, 36 hours per week.

Requirements

• Licensed by the North Carolina Board of Respiratory Care as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Must possess the full range of body motion required to pass the basic FIT test, including walking, kneeling, standing, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, reaching, and sitting for extended periods.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
