About The Position

This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our patients as a Respiratory Therapist at Perimeter Behavioral of Missouri Saint Robert. In this role, you will provide compassionate, personalized care to medically complexed, physical conditions withing a psychiatric residential treatment facility, support the recovery and well-being of individuals struggling with mental health, complex physical conditions and behavioral challenges. This position can be contract, full time, or part time.

Requirements

Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential required.
Knowledge of respiratory care modalities and treatment of medically complex patients.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with youth and interdisciplinary team members.
Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary treatment team.
Current Missouri Respiratory Care Practitioner License required.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Valid State Driver’s License with appropriate endorsements.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in pediatric, adolescent, hospital, or residential healthcare setting preferred.
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Administer prescribed respiratory therapies and treatments, including oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, nebulizer treatments, and airway clearance techniques
Monitor and manage respiratory support equipment
Assess patients’ respiratory status and response to treatments
Assist in the development and implementation of individualized respiratory care plans
Provide care and support as indicated for medically complex youth
Maintain infection control standards related to respiratory equipment and procedures
