About The Position

The Respiratory Therapist will use Respiratory Assessment throughout all areas of the hospital when caring for patients. They will follow the AARC Clinical Practice Guidelines and promote compassionate, efficient, cost-effective quality patient care, while demonstrating qualities consistent for the role. The position also involves incorporating teaching principles into all practices and showing use of written and verbal communication skills in all aspects of the role. The schedule for this position is 7:00 pm - 7:00 am and includes every other weekends and holidays.

Requirements

Completion of accredited Respiratory Therapy program
Vermont Respiratory Care Practitioner license
Registration or Certification with the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
One (1) year clinical experience
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)

Nice To Haves

Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certificate
Two (2) years' clinical experience, including emergency care
Experience with outpatient testing, i.e., PFT, stress testing, cardiac monitors
