About The Position

Seeking a compassionate, clinically skilled Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to provide personalized respiratory care in patients’ homes in Searcy, Arkansas. The role focuses on improving patients’ health, comfort, confidence, safety, and independence through ventilator management, oxygen therapy guidance, respiratory education, equipment support, and follow-up care. The therapist works directly with patients and families and collaborates with physicians through care provided in accordance with physician orders. The regular schedule is 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. The position also participates in an on-call rotation approximately every three to four weeks and completes home visits as needed. Employment is contingent on completing background screening, drug screening, compliance onboarding, and credentialing requirements. A valid driver’s license and clean driving record are required when applicable to the position.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Active licensure in the primary state of residence as a Respiratory Therapist (RRT or CRT), or another acceptable medical credential based on state licensure laws (examples listed: RC, RN, LPN, LPV).
Willingness to obtain licensure in neighboring states if required by the service area.
Complete background check, drug screening, compliance onboarding, and credentialing requirements.
Maintain a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record when applicable to the position.

Nice To Haves

Completion of an accredited program in respiratory care, nursing, or a related paramedical field.
Experience in home respiratory care or home healthcare.
Degree in respiratory therapy or a related science.
At least one year of relevant clinical experience.
Familiarity with medical terminology.

Responsibilities

Conduct compassionate and attentive respiratory assessments in patients’ homes.
Educate patients and caregivers about ventilators, oxygen therapy, and other respiratory equipment.
Adjust ventilator settings and clinical plans based on patient needs and physician orders.
Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot respiratory equipment.
Document clinical services and interactions accurately and promptly.
Provide ongoing phone support and follow-up care, including guidance during urgent or uncertain situations.
Participate in on-call rotations and complete home visits as needed.
Support training and orientation of new clinical staff.
Perform additional duties as assigned to provide safe and reliable respiratory support.
