Responsibilities extend beyond routine care to initiating and administering therapeutic procedures, diagnostic tests, and education according to departmental policies. Accurate recording of patient assessments and departmental data is essential. The position also includes precepting new employees and participating in student clinical rotations, demonstrating proficiency in maintaining respiratory therapy equipment. Effective communication and collaboration with physicians, house staff, and other healthcare disciplines regarding patient care plans are key aspects of this role.
