About The Position

Under the direction of the Manager, Director and Vice President, the Registered Respiratory Care Therapist performs all duties of a Certified Respiratory Therapist, as well as takes an active roll in in service education and orientation programs. Works closely with the Respiratory Care Specialist in the evaluation of respiratory care modality efficacy and protocol programs. The Registered Respiratory Care Therapist interprets information and communicates effectively, both verbally and in writing, performs simple mathematical computations, uses problem solving techniques, good interpersonal skills and organizational skills. The Registered Respiratory Care Therapist provides care appropriate to the age of the patient, including the unique physical and psychological needs of the neonate (if applicable), pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients. Assesses data reflective of the patient's status and interprets the appropriate information necessary to provide safe quality care.

Requirements

  • Successful completion of a two (2) year AMA approved program or equivalent.
  • Accredited by CoARC for respiratory care.
  • High School Diploma
  • Licensed by the State of Missouri as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.
  • BLS Certification
  • Minimum of one (1) year related respiratory care experience

Nice To Haves

  • NRP credential (for NICU trained)
  • ACLS credential (for adult ICUs and/or the Emergency Room)

Responsibilities
