About The Position

Encompass Health is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide compassionate, specialized care to patients facing respiratory challenges in an inpatient rehabilitation setting. The position involves providing respiratory treatments and medications, overseeing patient care and assessments, developing individualized care plans, addressing patient concerns, and building relationships that support patients’ physical, mental, and emotional needs during recovery. Requirements

• Current state license in Respiratory Therapy.
• CPR certification.

Nice To Haves

• ACLS certification preferred.
• Two years of hospital experience in Respiratory Therapy preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to patients who need medical gas, breathing therapy modalities, and medication.
• Supervise patient care and breathing treatments.
• Lead patient assessments and create personalized care plans.
• Identify and resolve patient concerns.
• Build relationships with patients and understand their physical, mental, and emotional needs to support recovery.
• Recognize and celebrate patient progress.
