About The Position

Encompass Health is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide compassionate care to patients facing respiratory challenges in an inpatient rehabilitation setting. The role supports patient rehabilitation and well-being by using specialized skills, equipment, and technology within a collaborative team environment.

The Respiratory Therapist provides direct care and supervises respiratory care and breathing treatments. The position also involves assessing patients, developing personalized care plans, addressing patient concerns, and building relationships that support patients’ physical, mental, and emotional needs during recovery.

Requirements

• Current state license in Respiratory Therapy.
• CPR certification.

Nice To Haves

• ACLS certification.
• Two years of hospital experience in Respiratory Therapy.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to patients who need medical gas, breathing therapy modalities, and medication.
• Supervise patient care and breathing treatments.
• Lead patient assessments and create personalized care plans.
• Identify and resolve patient concerns.
• Build relationships with patients and understand their physical, mental, and emotional needs to support recovery.
