Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited RT Care Program (licensed RCP)
  • Experience as a Respiratory Therapist
  • Thorough knowledge and skill related to the respiratory care field
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • People-sensitive characteristics with a genuine desire to help others
  • Detail oriented
  • Must be able to lift up to 75lbs

Responsibilities

  • Assessing patient needs and selecting, instructing, and troubleshooting appropriate respiratory equipment and services.
  • Maintaining appropriate documentation for patient care.
  • Receiving and documenting orders for respiratory equipment and/or services.
  • Collecting necessary information and documentation from insurance or physicians.
  • Instructing and educating patients, families, and caregivers on the proper use and care of respiratory equipment.
  • Communicating with the patient's physician regarding changes in condition or needs and adjusting the Plan of Care accordingly.
  • Completing patient account paperwork, including Plan of Care-treatment/assessments.
  • Acting as a liaison between SuperCare Health, patients, families, caregivers, and physicians.
  • Assuming responsibility for one's own actions, professional skills, and attitudes.
  • Following all policies and procedures as outlined by JCAHO.
  • Conducting follow-up visits for respiratory patients and assisting in continuity of care.
  • Providing 24-hour on-call service, seven days a week as scheduled.
  • Setting up respiratory equipment within the given appointment/ETA to ensure patient satisfaction.
  • Providing services for the marketing department and all other departments as necessary.
  • Demonstrating timeliness, courtesy, sincerity, and patience when dealing with patients.
  • Supporting SuperCare Health by being loyal and informing the office of concerns and problems.
  • Adhering to all SuperCare Health company policies.
  • Remaining knowledgeable and up-to-date on all products.
  • Maintaining a professional, safe, and clean work environment.
