About The Position

Aspire Rural Health Systems is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for its Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation Department in Cass City, Michigan. The therapist acquires training and clinical experience while providing logistical support for department operations. The role assesses, educates, monitors, and treats patients enrolled in pulmonary and/or cardiac rehabilitation programs, focusing on respiratory and cardiovascular health through individualized exercise programs, patient education, disease management, and interdisciplinary collaboration. The therapist promotes safe exercise participation, monitors patient responses to therapy, and supports long-term lifestyle modification. This is a full-time day position with no holidays or weekends.

Requirements

Graduate of a Joint Review Committee for Respiratory Therapy Education (JRCRTE)-approved respiratory care program.
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) required; RRT must be obtained within six months of graduating.
Associate of Science (A.S.) degree required.
Able to perform CPR and hold current American Heart Association BLS certification at the date of hire.
Must obtain American Heart Association ACLS/PALS within six months of the hire date.

Nice To Haves

One year of hospital experience in respiratory care preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide logistical support for the operations of the Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation Department.
Assess, educate, monitor, and treat patients enrolled in pulmonary and/or cardiac rehabilitation programs.
Support patients' respiratory and cardiovascular health through individualized exercise programs, patient education, and disease management.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members.
