About The Position

Mission Community Hospital, a 145-bed acute care facility located in the San Fernando Valley, is currently searching for 2 per-diem respiratory therapists for day/night shifts. The respiratory therapist will assess and implement plans of care for respiratory patients. They perform direct care activities required to provide and maintain individualized quality patient care. Specific areas of responsibility include: administration of respiratory medications, performance of treatments, provision of patient education, and maintenance of a record of care. The role actively participates in performance improvement programs within the department. The respiratory therapist is responsible to the Director of Respiratory Therapy and under the medical supervision of the Medical Director of Respiratory Care Services.

Requirements

• Current RRT
• Current RCP license from State of California
• BLS
• PALS certificate must be obtained within 30 days of hire
• ACLS certificate must be obtained within 30 days of hire
• MAB certification must be obtained within 60 days of hire
• Current Los Angeles Fire Card must be obtained within 30 days of hire
