About The Position

The Respiratory Therapist performs respiratory therapy duties, including oxygen administration and ventilator application, and initiates, assesses, and recommends respiratory care services, including diagnostic studies, under physician supervision. The therapist actively and consistently demonstrates the mission, vision, values, and guiding principles of Maple Grove Hospital.

This is an on-site position with the Maple Grove work group. The schedule is nights in 12-hour shifts, totaling 48 hours per two-week pay period, with every third weekend required. There is no call requirement. The position is non-contract and non-exempt. The salary range is $40.80–$55.47, based on experience; shift differential may apply depending on the position and shift worked. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; visa sponsorship is not available.

Requirements

• Graduate of an approved JRCRTE/COARC respiratory program.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak effectively in English.
• Ability to take initiative and be self-motivated, independent, accountable, and dependable.
• Effective planning, time-management, organizational, and detail-oriented skills.
• Solid PC skills, including electronic medical records, Microsoft applications, and internet use.
• Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to express information clearly and concisely for the audience.
• Ability to deal with conflict positively and consider the needs, feelings, and capabilities of others.
• Ability to maintain quality, safety, and infection control standards.
• Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; employment visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Prior experience as a Respiratory Care Practitioner or Therapist preferred.
• Level 3 NICU experience preferred.
• New graduates from an accredited Respiratory Therapist school will be considered.
