About The Position

To perform specialized respiratory therapy services as directed by provider orders and in accordance with protocols, policies, and procedures established by the hospital.

Requirements

• Successful completion of a National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) approved Respiratory Therapy program
• National Board for Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential upon hire or by the end of one year of employment and must be maintained throughout duration of employment
• Arizona Respiratory license prior to their first day of employment
• Maintain Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support or the equivalent as determined by the site of hire
• For those working in Pulmonary Function Testing, the RPFT credential is required upon hire or within one year of hire and must be maintained throughout employment
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Familiarity with risks associated with exposure to infectious patients, needle puncture hazards, and hazards related to compressed gases

Nice To Haves

• Previous hospital experience
• Familiarity with The Joint Commission standards and requirements
• Understanding of computers
