Respiratory Therapist Supervisor, AH Waxhaw, FT Varied
About The Position
This is a Full-time Respiratory Therapist Supervisor position at Atrium Health Union - Respiratory Care in Waxhaw. The role involves coordinating and supervising clinical activities of cardiopulmonary staff, ensuring quality care, conducting new employee orientation, coordinating continuing education, maintaining supplies and equipment, and ensuring compliance with JCAHO standards and organizational policies. The position also assists in developing departmental goals and provides direct patient care as needed. The role requires variable hours, including 2-12 hour shifts for staffing coverage and 16 hours for administrative needs, with availability for all shifts, including weekends. This position is eligible for a sign-on bonus.
Requirements
- Graduate of an AMA-approved school of Respiratory Care required.
- Credentialed as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care required.
- Currently licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner for the state of applicable state required.
- Associates degree in Respiratory Therapy with a minimum of two years in a Respiratory Care Department or a RRT equivalent with a minimum of five years in a Respiratory Care Department required.
- Working knowledge of all phases of Respiratory Care technology pertinent to this position.
- Basic Life Support for healthcare providers thru the American Heart Association required.
- Advanced certificates per facility policy
