About The Position

Oversees the day-to-day operation of staff and the delivery of all clinical services. Assists with in-service education for department staff and other institutional personnel. Assists with state, federal, CARF, and JCAHO regulations and departmental quality assurance programs, and ensures compliance. Participates on committees and in the respiratory program clinical rotation. Provides direct patient care, shares on-call responsibilities for the department, and performs other duties as required.

Requirements

Possess a license and current registration as a respiratory therapist in New York State.
Have three years of post-licensure experience administering respiratory services and treating patients in a nursing home facility or hospital setting.
Have at least one year of experience at a supervisory level; a bachelor's degree in respiratory therapy may substitute for one year of the general experience requirement.
