About The Position
This position represents patient care directed toward critical care areas, step down areas and general care areas.
Requirements
- HS/GED Required.
- Must be licensed by the ASBRT and credentialed by the NBRC.
- Certified Respiratory Therapist minimum.
- Clinical experience obtained while attending Respiratory program and will be able to function in critical settings.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work in a fast paced environment, requiring prioritizing and changing tasks frequently and quickly.
Nice To Haves
- Registered Respiratory Therapist is preferred.
- Certification of PALS and ACLS is preferred for all applicants.
- Certification of BLS is preferred for hiring processes.
- Additional experience relating to intubation and transport are preferred.
Responsibilities
- Initiation and support of mechanical ventilation.
- Perform and recommend procedures in all areas of EKG, Bronchial Hygiene, Oxygen Therapy, Respiratory Diagnostic Procedures, and all levels of Mechanical Ventilation.
