Local Travel Respiratory Therapist, RRT
About The Position
FirstChoice is Trinity Health's mobile staffing solution, offering premium compensation and maximum flexibility for experienced Respiratory Therapists. RTs are utilized to fill short and long-term assignments throughout the health system. Nationwide and Regional opportunities are available. This role involves floating throughout the hospital and/or multiple hospital locations and/or regions. The therapist will act independently within their scope of knowledge and experience, retaining accountability for their decisions and outcomes. Collaboration with key stakeholders and contribution to quality improvement practices are essential. The role requires agility, willingness to take on new responsibilities, and the ability to manage competing priorities while embracing new ideas and cultural differences.
Requirements
- Respiratory Therapist
- Graduate of a two-year advanced practitioner -Accredited Respiratory Therapist program: Registry eligible.
- Current RRT credential.
- Valid State License in Respiratory Care if required in the state you are working.
- Interpersonal skills necessary to effectively communicate with patients, physicians and other health personnel and department management during all situations and in line with our mission and values.
- Analytical skills necessary to identify patient’s needs.
- Demonstrated basic computer skills in a Windows environment.
Responsibilities
- Qualified and willing to float throughout the hospital and/or throughout multiple hospital locations and/or regions
- Knows, understands, incorporates & demonstrates standard elements of professional practice per AARC guidelines.
- Acts independently & appropriately within, scope of knowledge & experience in practice area
- Retains accountability for delegation, choices, decisions & outcomes
- Collaborates with key stakeholders & contributes to quality & improvement practices & outcomes
- Exhibits agility & willingness to take on new & additional responsibilities
- Embraces new ideas & cultural differences while managing competing priorities
