RESPIRATORY THERAPIST RRT / CRT FT
About The Position
The Respiratory Therapist shall be responsible for the administration of respiratory care offered by the Respiratory Care Department at Saint Mary's Hospital. This role functions clinically with a considerable amount of independent judgment regarding the delivery of quality patient care and serves as a technical resource person to physicians and other healthcare workers regarding current practices in respiratory care. The therapist will set up, operate, and manage patient care on respiratory-related equipment such as mechanical ventilators, NIPPV/CPAP, or High Flow Oxygen devices, and manage patients on invasive mechanical ventilation modes.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of Respiratory Care, minimum of a two-year Associate's Degree
- Current State of CT Respiratory Care Practitioner License
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified (CRT) by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC)
- Thorough knowledge of the procedures and patient care techniques involved in the delivery of respiratory care
