As a Pediatric Respiratory Therapist, you’ll evaluate, treat, and manage patients of all ages—primarily infants, children, and adolescents—with respiratory illnesses and cardiopulmonary disorders across a variety of clinical settings. Requirements
- Registered Respiratory Therapist Required
- NC Respiratory Care Practitioner Required
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
Responsibilities
- Perform therapeutic and diagnostic respiratory care under physician orders in both acute and critical care environments.
- Conduct patient assessments, monitor treatment efficacy, and contribute to care planning and education.
- Respond to emergency situations, assist with airway management, and ensure appropriate ventilator and oxygen therapy support.
- Document care accurately, completely, and legally in the electronic medical record.
- Maintain equipment readiness and support safe, efficient delivery of respiratory services.
- Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and other disciplines to provide individualized, family-centered care.
