Requirements
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
- Active North Carolina Respiratory Care Practitioner License
- Basic Life Support (BLS) (Adult Care)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) (Adult Care)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) (Neonatal/Pediatric Care)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) (Neonatal/Pediatric Care)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) (Neonatal/Pediatric Care)
- Associate's Degree Respiratory Therapy Required
- No Experience Required
Responsibilities
- Performing comprehensive respiratory assessments and diagnostic procedures
- Delivering all respiratory care treatments as ordered, including oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, and airway management
- Evaluating treatment effectiveness and adjusting care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
- Educating patients and families to support understanding and continuity of care
- Responding to emergency situations and providing life‑saving respiratory support
- Documenting care in the electronic medical record with accuracy, timeliness, and professionalism
