Requirements

  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
  • Active North Carolina Respiratory Care Practitioner License
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) (Adult Care)
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) (Adult Care)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) (Neonatal/Pediatric Care)
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) (Neonatal/Pediatric Care)
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) (Neonatal/Pediatric Care)
  • Associate's Degree Respiratory Therapy Required
  • No Experience Required

Responsibilities

  • Performing comprehensive respiratory assessments and diagnostic procedures
  • Delivering all respiratory care treatments as ordered, including oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, and airway management
  • Evaluating treatment effectiveness and adjusting care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
  • Educating patients and families to support understanding and continuity of care
  • Responding to emergency situations and providing life‑saving respiratory support
  • Documenting care in the electronic medical record with accuracy, timeliness, and professionalism
