About The Position
The Respiratory Therapist Registered provides expert respiratory care to a diverse patient population across inpatient and outpatient settings, ranging from neonates to adults. The role delivers safe, efficient, and compassionate respiratory therapies and diagnostic testing while maintaining equipment, documenting accurately, and collaborating with healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes. The position is 0.9 FTE, works 12-hour night shifts from 6:30 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., and includes every third weekend (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday).
Requirements
- Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program.
- Respiratory Care Practitioner license in the state(s) of practice.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC), to be obtained within 6 months of hire.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Responsibilities
- Provide respiratory care to patients from neonates to adults in inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Deliver respiratory therapies and diagnostic testing safely, efficiently, and compassionately.
- Maintain respiratory equipment.
- Document care accurately.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes.
