Requirements

• Must be a graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy Program.
• Must be licensed in the State of AL.
• Must be a Registered Respiratory Therapist.

• Critical Care experience in a hospital setting preferred.
• Must be a resourceful problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be positive and caring with a customer-service oriented attitude.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality patient care as a member of the Respiratory Team.
• Develop and ensure the patient plan of care in collaboration with physicians, registered nurses, therapists and nursing assistants.
• Evaluate patient and recommend a treatment plan.
• Provide respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical and surgical conditions.
• Perform insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes.
• Perform timely and accurate documentation.
• Promote continuous quality improvement.
• Teach and counsel patients/families.
