About The Position

Assist in training new employees, serve as a reference/mentor to certified respiratory therapists, precept students. Perform complex functions of life support ventilation systems in a manner of quality critical care support consistence with competencies, procedures, and/or protocols. Perform daily maintenance of ABG lab for Joint Commission standards and CLIA. Perform prescribed critical care procedures, documentation of procedures performs, and charge procedures perform. Assist coworkers in maintaining productivity percentage above 100% year-to-date or prescribed by senior leadership. Gather equipment after patient use, clean equipment per manufacture guidelines, and return equipment to proper storage. Demonstrate and encourage team behavior and exceptional patient/guest experiences. Uphold and promote patient safety and quality.

Requirements

Completion of two-year AMA approved program in respiratory therapy
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
Current Alabama respiratory license
Approximately six to twelve months of progressively more responsible related work experience
Completes initial and annual competencies
