Requirements

• Associate’s Degree from an accredited respiratory care program.
• Indiana Respiratory Care Practitioner License (RCP).
• Registered by the NBRC or eligible, Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT), Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) within 18 months of graduation date or start date.
• Valid Indiana Driver's License and Auto Insurance.
• Experience educating patients on home care/home medical equipment.
• Experience working in respiratory therapy.
• Knowledge of treatment modalities.
• Dedication to patient care.
• Ability to communicate tactfully and effectively with patients, staff, physicians, and visitors.
• Ability to evaluate and provide exceptional care for patients with respiratory insufficiencies.

Responsibilities

• Partner with physicians/staff to provide patient-centered care and outstanding service with respect.
• Advance the patient plan of care to achieve the best possible outcomes.
• Provide age and culturally appropriate care to patients and families.
• Provide treatment, care, and evaluation for patients with respiratory insufficiencies.
• Implement conventional ventilation methods.
• Perform a variety of duties related to setting up, operation, cleaning, and storing respiratory equipment.
• Educate patients on home care/home medical equipment.
