About The Position

Performs basic duties to support the Respiratory Care Staff in accordance with the hospital’s objectives, policies, and procedures. The intern will have an identified mentor for resource and support. Other duties may be assigned. The Respiratory Therapist program supports new graduates and experienced professionals through a structured 12-month RT Residency Program, a defined Clinical Career Ladder, and flexible self-scheduling. The residency provides hands-on clinical experience, mentorship, ongoing education, critical care training, and advanced procedures. Respiratory therapists can progress from RCP I through RCP IV, with opportunities for increased responsibilities, recognition, and compensation as they gain experience, earn advanced credentials, or pursue higher education. The program emphasizes mentorship, collaboration, professional growth, and work-life balance.

Requirements

Currently enrolled in an accredited Respiratory Therapy Education Program and remain in good standing.
Obtain American Heart Association Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS), or an AHA-approved equivalent, within 90 days of hire.
Organization and time-management skills.
Good communication skills.

Nice To Haves

Experience working in a patient care setting, such as a hospital or nursing home.
Inventory or stocking experience.
Equipment processing and cleaning training.
High school diploma or equivalent.
