The Baptist Health Respiratory Care department helps patients breathe better and live healthier. Requirements

• Must be a Registered Respiratory Therapist through the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC)
• Associates Degree
• Must be licensed by the Kentucky Board of Respiratory Care as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in the state of Kentucky and in accordance with the provisions of KRS chapter 314A
• Must maintain an active BLS. [within 30 days of hire if not already active]
• Must obtain PALs and NRP within 6 months

Responsibilities

• Medication administration via aerosol therapy, oxygen therapy, percussion and postural drainage, non-invasive ventilation, mechanical ventilation, CPR, bedside pulmonary function screening, and arterial blood gases.
• Able to perform in all emergency situations and provide intubation, if applicable.
