About The Position

Sentara Health is currently recruiting for a Part Time, Night shift Respiratory Therapist at their Sentara Leigh Hospital in Norfolk, VA. The position offers up to a $20,000 Sign On Bonus for Full Time Qualified Candidates and up to $10,000 for Part Time Qualified Candidates. Both experienced professionals and new graduates may qualify, and Relocation & Moving Allowance is available to candidates outside of the geographic area. The team at Sentara Leigh is dedicated to continuous improvement and peer coaching, with many Respiratory Leaders having started their careers there, providing an environment to learn the foundations of Respiratory Therapy and develop a strong skillset. Sentara Leigh Hospital is a 274-bed acute care facility that opened in 1903 and relocated to its present site in 1977. It underwent a renovation in 2016, adding two new patient towers, an atrium, and a multi-story parking garage. The hospital includes a dedicated Orthopedic Hospital, is a recognized accredited Primary Stroke Center, and a Magnet hospital for nursing excellence. It specializes in orthopedic and spine care, heart, vascular, maternity care, general surgery, and hosts the region’s only 24-hour hyperbaric oxygen program. Requirements

  • Associates or Bachelor's degree required. Non degreed applicants with RRT credentials prior to January 1, 2006 and graduates from a military RT program with RRT credentials will also be considered.
  • State Respiratory license
  • NBRC RRT (For new graduates only, must obtain NBRC RRT within 6 months of hire date)
  • BLS required at time of hire
