The Licensed Respiratory Therapist assesses, implements, and evaluates the delivery of respiratory care services utilizing processes in accordance with hospital standards and department policies for the purpose of monitoring and evaluating patient status. This role involves providing care effectively to patients in critical care areas, including mechanical ventilation, invasive/non-invasive monitoring, and ventilator maintenance. The position also requires accurate documentation, effective communication with the healthcare team, and participation in departmental and hospital goals. The Respiratory Therapist will respond to emergencies like code blues and RIT/CRIT calls, and may participate in mentoring new personnel and improving patient outcomes.
