Requirements

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent required for all positions (may be allowed to sign a GED agreement to obtain within 6 months).
• BLS certification or obtained within six months of hire

Nice To Haves

• Completion of a respiratory therapy technician program or relevant healthcare training preferred
• working experience in hospital setting

Responsibilities

• Assist respiratory therapists with patient treatments, including oxygen therapy and aerosol treatments
• Set up, clean, maintain, and troubleshoot respiratory care equipment
• Monitor and record patient vital signs, oxygen levels, and responses to treatments
• Perform routine diagnostic procedures such as pulse oximetry and basic pulmonary function support
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in accordance with facility policies
• Stock and organize respiratory supplies and equipment
• Provide basic patient education under the supervision of a licensed respiratory therapist
• Cleans PFT flow sensors when needed
