About The Position

Under general supervision, technicians maintain, clean and deliver equipment as necessary for patient care. Technician will perform other related duties to support patient care activities within the limits of established policies and procedures. Maintains, services, and repairs medical equipment. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
• Must be enrolled in a Respiratory Program approved by CoArc (Committee on Accreditation for Respiratory Care).
• Ability to work with others, follow instructions, and prioritize work needs.
• Ability to perform job functions while standing.
• Ability to perform job functions while sitting.
• Ability to perform job functions while walking.
• Ability to work indoors.
• Ability to perform job functions from kneeling positions.
• Ability to bend at the waist.

• Ability to maintain tactile sensory functions.
• Ability to maintain good olfactory sensory function.
• Ability to maintain vision 20/40 corrected.
• Ability to see and recognize objects close at hand or at a distance.
• Ability to match or discriminate between colors.
• Ability to determine distance/relationship between objects; depth perception.
• Good peripheral vision capabilities.
• Ability to maintain hearing acuity, with correction.
• Ability to perform gross motor functions with frequent fine motor movements.

• Ability to learn and use new processes, tools and equipment as required.
• Ability to work in a latex safe environment.
• Ability to be qualified physically (by medical personnel) for respirator use, initially and as required.
• High school diploma or equivalent and currently enrolled in an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.

• Six months training or experience in a hospital setting preferred.

• Ability to work rotating shifts.
• Ability to work overtime as required.
