Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program (or equivalent).
• Licensed by the Maryland Board of Physicians as a Respiratory Care Practitioner OR must obtain license within 90 days of hire.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Strong clinical judgment, ability to operate respiratory equipment safely and effectively, and comfort working across diverse patient populations.

Nice To Haves

• Relevant experience in the field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer oxygen therapy, medications, and bronchial hygiene treatments to help patients breathe easier and recover faster.
• Provide airway maintenance, including endotracheal intubation, and expertly manage mechanical ventilation (both invasive and non-invasive).
• Evaluate each patient’s condition and tailor care plans to address urgent and evolving respiratory needs.
• Teach patients how to manage chronic lung conditions, giving them the tools to improve their quality of life.
• Serve on Rapid Response, Code Blue, and Trauma Teams, bringing calm expertise to high-pressure situations.
• Acquire and analyze arterial blood gases, assist with bronchoscopies, and ensure equipment is cleaned and maintained to the highest standard.
