About The Position
The Respiratory Equipment Technician provides properly functioning respiratory care equipment in an expedient manner. The technician disassembles, cleans, and reassembles equipment, performs preventive maintenance on select equipment, and verifies operational readiness. The role also organizes, monitors, and maintains appropriate consumable and capital inventory levels, and documents computer charges for respiratory care modalities rendered on the previous day. The employee must be able to work the day or evening shift as required and every other weekend. The position serves all age-specific groups.
Requirements
- High school graduate or GED.

Responsibilities
- Disassemble, clean, and reassemble respiratory care equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance on select equipment and verify operational readiness.
- Organize, monitor, and maintain appropriate consumable and capital inventory levels.
- Document computer charges for respiratory care modalities rendered on the previous day.
- Identify equipment repairs that can be completed internally.
- Ship warranty items for repair.
- Determine when laboratory and equipment areas need cleaning.
- Order items available through Central Supply.
