About The Position
The Respiratory Equipment Technician provides in an expedient manner, properly functioning respiratory care equipment by disassembling, cleaning, reassembling, performing preventive maintenance on select equipment and verifying operational readiness. The Respiratory Equipment Technician organizes, monitors and maintains appropriate consumable and capital inventory levels. This position documents charges in the computer for respiratory care modalities rendered on the previous day.
Requirements
- High school graduate (or GED).

- Previous work experience with respiratory care equipment.
Responsibilities
- Disassembles, cleans, and reassembles respiratory care equipment.
- Performs preventive maintenance on select equipment.
- Verifies operational readiness of respiratory care equipment.
- Organizes, monitors, and maintains appropriate consumable and capital inventory levels.
- Documents charges in the computer for respiratory care modalities rendered.
- Identifies equipment repairs which can be done internally.
- Ships warranty items for repair.
- Determines the need to clean the laboratory and equipment areas.
- Orders items available through Central Supply.
