Under the direction of the V.P. of Respiratory Care Services, the Respiratory Clinical Educator will coordinate the design, planning, evaluation, and integration of clinical education and professional development activities to maintain consistent standards of evidence-based practice and competencies in the delivery of appropriate patient care across all age-specific populations in Respiratory Care. This role functions as an educator, consultant, leader, researcher, and resource to respiratory staff, nursing, and physicians on the PIH Health Whittier Hospital campus, ensuring competency and consistency of clinical practice.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the design, planning, evaluation, and integration of clinical education and professional development activities.
- Maintain consistent standards of evidence-based practice and competencies in the delivery of appropriate patient care across all age-specific populations in the area of Respiratory Care.
- Function as an educator to respiratory staff, nursing, and physicians.
- Function as a consultant to respiratory staff, nursing, and physicians.
- Function as a leader to respiratory staff, nursing, and physicians.
- Function as a researcher to respiratory staff, nursing, and physicians.
- Function as a resource to respiratory staff, nursing, and physicians.
- Ensure the competency and consistency of clinical practice.
