About The Position
Lallie Kemp Regional Medical Center is a 24-bed acute care critical access hospital serving the Florida Parishes region of Southeast Louisiana. We offer a wide range of services including general surgery and a 24-hour emergency department. We're currently seeking a Respiratory Care Therapist 1/2 (Registered) to join our Respiratory Department to provide respiratory care procedures to patients.
Requirements
- Possession of a current Louisiana Respiratory Therapist license and accreditation with the National Board of Respiratory Care as a Registered Respiratory Therapist.
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
Responsibilities
- Receive, verify, and administer physician's prescriptions.
- Obtain requisitions and place appropriate information on them.
- Perform all Pulmonary Function Tests ordered by physicians on patients.
- Perform EKG's and assist with EKG's in the absence of EKG Technicians.
- Attend educational in-services and mandatory trainings.
