About The Position

Kadlec is offering a $20,000 Hiring Bonus for eligible external candidates who meet all conditions for payment. This is a combined posting for a Respiratory Care Practitioners and Senior Respiratory Care Practitioners. The requirements of each role are listed below under each associated title. Under the direction of the leadership of Respiratory Therapy services, the Respiratory Therapist is responsible to see that all treatments/procedures are carried out according to the provider orders. Respiratory therapy operates within all areas of the medical center and assignments will be made based on skills and abilities. Care is provided in areas of the medical center, including but not limited to NICU, Adult ICU, Emergency Department, Birth Center and general medicine. Respiratory Therapists may also work in the outpatient pulmonary rehab area, as well. Pulmonary Function Lab operates as a separate entity and requires additional specialized training. Under the direction of the Respiratory Therapy department leadership, the Senior Respiratory Care Practitioner maintains standards of professional respiratory care and performs related duties as assigned. Performs all duties of staff RT and acts as a resource to other staff members. May train or communicate instructions to other employees and inspect work to separate acceptable work from unacceptable. Requirements

  • Graduated from an accredited school of Respiratory Therapy
  • Washington Respiratory Care Practitioner License is required upon hire
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association is required upon hire
  • National Provider ACLS - American Heart Association is required within 90 days of hire
  • National Provider PALS - American Heart Association is required within 90 days of hire
  • 2 years of Respiratory care practitioner experience in an acute care medical setting (for Senior role)

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited educational institution
  • 1 year of Respiratory Care Practitioner experience in an acute care medical setting (for Practitioner role)
  • Recent NICU, adult CCU and open heart experience (for Senior role)
