About The Position
Premiere Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner for an immediate and flexible opportunity with one of their award-winning hospital partners in Inglewood, Ca. The Respiratory Care Practitioner will be responsible for performing respiratory therapeutic and pulmonary diagnostic procedures under the direction of the medical director and cardiopulmonary director. Emphasis will be placed on assessment, planning, implementation, and documentation of patient care, considering age-specific needs. In the absence of a supervisor, the RRT may be assigned as Lead RCP, overseeing the section or department during their shift.
Requirements
- Current State Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license required.
- Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certified from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) upon hire and maintain current.
- Adult Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from the AHA or ARC certification upon hire and maintain current.
- Associate of Science Degree required.
- One year of acute care experience required.
Responsibilities
- Performing respiratory therapeutic and pulmonary diagnostic procedures as ordered by the physician.
- Assessing, planning, implementing, and documenting patient care, considering age and population-specific needs.
- Potentially serving as Lead RCP in the absence of a supervisor, with responsibility for the section or department during their shift.
