About The Position

The Respiratory Care Practitioner I is a licensed professional who provides respiratory therapy services in accordance with the standards, policies, and practices of Enloe Medical Center. The Respiratory Care Practitioner I collaborates with other members of the patient care team to provide care in accordance with the medical plan of care.

Requirements

• Current licensure or work permit issued by the State of California as a Respiratory Care Practitioner
• Registered as a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (within one year of hire)
• Current CPR recognition
• ACLS recognition within one year of hire
• PALS recognition within one year of hire
• NRP recognition within one year of hire

Responsibilities

• Provides respiratory therapy services in accordance with the standards, policies, and practices of Enloe Medical Center.
• Collaborates with other members of the patient care team to provide care in accordance with the medical plan of care.
• Copes with seriously ill patients of all age groups.
• Prioritizes and multi-tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrates technical competence, professional clinical judgment, communication skills and sensitivity for the patient and family in crisis.
• Fulfills the basic functions of the position.
• Learns and incorporates the mission statement and standards of behavior associated with Enloe Medical Center.
