About The Position

As a Respiratory Care Practitioner, you will competently provide essential respiratory care for neonate, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients. Your expertise is vital for critical respiratory interventions and patient well-being.

Requirements

  • Current California RCP License Required
  • Respiratory Care Practitioner: CA
  • Basic Life Support - CPR
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support
  • Fire Safety, within 90 Days

Nice To Haves

  • Associates or Bachelors of Science in Respiratory Therapy preferred
  • 2 years acute care experience including pediatrics, trauma, and ventilator management
  • Blood gas and pulmonary function testing experience
  • Experience with extended and manage care

Responsibilities

  • Competently provide essential respiratory care for neonate, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients
  • Perform arterial punctures
  • Perform continuous ventilation
  • Perform airway maintenance
  • Provide emergency care
  • Implement infection control procedures
  • Perform isolation procedures
  • Operate mechanical ventilators
  • Perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation
  • Administer medical gas
  • Ensure that patient care is appropriate and effective and delivered in a timely manner
  • Ensure that communications and interactions with patients and other care givers are appropriate and timely
  • Ensure that patient and family education is accurate, culturally sensitive, and performed in a timely manner
  • Ensure that diagnostic test results are accurate and reported in a timely manner
  • Maintain all related equipment in optimal working order per policy and regulatory requirements
