About The Position

PAM Health is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) to provide care for a diverse patient population at its Tavares Rehab location. The role involves caring for chronically and critically ill patients who may require extended hospital care. Candidates with prior inpatient hospital experience are sought, though a commitment and desire to learn are also welcomed. The RCP performs routine therapy, diagnostic, and emergency cardiopulmonary procedures for hospital patients and keeps equipment in working order. The practitioner also provides phlebotomy and basic laboratory testing as required or requested, and performs other related duties as assigned. The position is full-time, with a day schedule indicated in the posting.

Requirements

Must be certified or licensed in the state where the hospital is located to practice respiratory care.
Must possess and maintain current BLS and ACLS certification.
Blood gas licensure is required if employed in Nevada.
For hospitals that perform arterial punctures and/or run blood gases, a high school diploma is required.
A commitment and desire to learn is welcomed for candidates without prior inpatient hospital experience.

Nice To Haves

Prior inpatient hospital experience.
At least one year of clinical respiratory experience is preferred.
An associate degree is preferred for hospitals that perform arterial punctures and/or run blood gases.

Responsibilities

Perform routine therapy, diagnostic, and emergency cardiopulmonary procedures for patients.
Maintain all equipment in working order.
Provide phlebotomy and basic laboratory testing as required or requested.
Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
