About The Position

The Respiratory Care Practitioner provides respiratory therapy services and performs a range of diagnostic procedures, including pulmonary function tests (PFTs), cardiac stress tests, EKGs, and Holter monitor placement. Training will be provided for these procedures. Other duties include arterial blood gas (ABG) testing, home oxygen qualifications, ventilator management, routine respiratory care, and collaborating with providers on all aspects of respiratory therapy. The practitioner must be comfortable working alone at times.

This is a part-time position with flexible self-scheduling, 24 hours per week, and a stated shift of 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. The role is located at 1120 North Melvin Street, Gibson City, Illinois.

Requirements

• Two years of recent hospital experience.
• Must be comfortable working alone at times.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS and PALS certification required within six months of hire.
• Licensed in the State of Illinois.
