About The Position

This is an opportunity to join one of the Pacific Northwest's most respected health systems at a nationally recognized medical center and children's hospital in Spokane, WA. As a Respiratory Care Practitioner on the Children's Hospital Float team, you will work across units delivering critical respiratory support to some of the most vulnerable patients. The organization has over a century of mission-driven care and is looking for caregivers who want their work to matter.

Requirements

  • Education sufficient to meet licensure or certification requirements
  • Active Washington Respiratory Care Practitioner License upon hire
  • BLS certification through the American Heart Association upon hire

Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, and implement individualized respiratory care plans in collaboration with physicians and nursing staff
  • Operate and maintain complex ventilatory support systems, monitoring equipment, and resuscitation devices
  • Perform patient assessments, diagnostic procedures, and oxygen therapy across assigned units
  • Float across the children's hospital as needed, applying your clinical expertise where it's needed most
  • Complete department and unit-specific orientation requirements
  • Support physicians in the delivery and direction of respiratory therapy services
