About The Position
This is a 13-week assignment for a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) working nights. The role involves performing routine therapy, diagnostic, and emergency cardiopulmonary procedures for patients in PAM Health hospitals. The practitioner will also maintain equipment and provide phlebotomy and basic laboratory testing as needed. PAM Health specializes in caring for chronically and critically ill patients requiring extended hospital care, with over 80 locations and 11,000 employees nationwide, focusing on compassionate care and optimal patient outcomes.
Requirements
- Must be certified or licensed in the state where the hospital resides to practice respiratory care.
- Must possess and maintain current BLS and ACLS certification.
- Blood gas licensure required if employed in the state of Nevada.
- For hospitals that perform arterial punctures and/or run blood gases, at least a high school diploma is required, preferably an associate degree.
- Minimum of one-year clinical respiratory experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Performs routine therapy, diagnostic and emergency cardiopulmonary procedures for patients in PAM Health hospitals.
- Maintains all equipment in working order.
- Provides phlebotomy and basic laboratory testing for the patient population as required or requested.
