About The Position
The Respiratory Care Intern works under the direction of the Director for Respiratory Services and maintains adequate inventory levels for equipment and supplies used by the Respiratory Therapy department. The role includes removing small oxygen and compressed-air cylinders and replacing them with full tanks at appropriate par levels in designated areas throughout the hospital.
Requirements
- Be a current student in a Respiratory Program.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of compressed gas cylinders and respiratory equipment, including mechanical ventilators, and ventilation testing before patient use.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Good communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to move and/or lift large objects and frequently handle medium-weight loads up to 50 lbs.
