About The Position

This job is ON - SITE.
Performs basic respiratory care duties as directed by the medical staff and in accordance with the hospital's policies and procedures. The individual will have a preceptor identified prior to the start of each rotation for supervision of duties. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an entry or advanced level accredited Respiratory Therapy Education program is required.
• Successful completion of all first year clinical rotations for respiratory therapy program is required.
• Must be and remain in good standing within the respiratory therapy program.
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 90 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

• Clinical experience in hospital, home care or skilled nursing facility is preferred.
• Member of the American Association for Respiratory Care/state Society for Respiratory Care is preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.
