About The Position

Students beginning the second year of their Respiratory Therapy education program are encouraged to apply for this paid internship. We offer flexible scheduling to support your education. Discover. Achieve. Succeed. #BeHere. This job is ON - SITE. FTE: 0.001000 Standard Hours: 0.01 Shift: Shift 4 Shift Details: Flexible scheduling to meet needs of students. Weekend shifts and PM shifts required. Must be available to work 8 hours per week. Intern II: Students enrolled in the second year of an RT program are encouraged to apply. Flexible scheduling available to support your academic success. Performs basic respiratory care duties as directed by the medical staff and in accordance with the hospital's objectives, policies and procedures. The individual will have a preceptor identified prior to the start of each rotation for supervision of duties. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an entry or advanced level accredited Respiratory Therapy Education program is required.
• Successful completion of all first year clinical rotations for respiratory therapy program is required.
• Must be and remain in good standing within the respiratory therapy program.
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 90 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

• Clinical experience in hospital, home care or skilled nursing facility is preferred.
• Member of the American Association for Respiratory Care/state Society for Respiratory Care is preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic respiratory care duties as directed by the medical staff and in accordance with the hospital's objectives, policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.
