UniTech - Respirator Technician
About The Position
UniTech, a subsidiary of UniFirst, is seeking a Respirator Technician. This role involves receiving, washing, and drying respirators and their associated parts. The technician will also conduct material surveys, inspect and test respirator face pieces, package customer by-products, and load shipping containers. Key responsibilities include processing, labeling, tracking, packaging, and storing items according to procedures and customer work orders, as well as performing surveys. The role requires interaction with various departments to ensure timely receipt and shipping of customer products.
Requirements
- High school education or equivalent.
- Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
- Sitting for 8 hours, up to 2 hours at a time.
- Working with hands to complete tasks.
Responsibilities
- Receive, wash, and dry respirators and associated parts/items.
- Conduct material surveys in accordance with procedures.
- Inspect and test respirator face pieces as directed.
- Package customer by-products.
- Load shipping containers.
- Properly process, label, track, package, and store items in accordance with Process Procedures and Customer Work Orders.
- Perform Surveys.
- Interact with the regulated dock and shipping departments and non-regulated receiving and shipping departments to ensure the timely receipt and shipping of customer products.
