As a member of Sato’s Special Education Team, this position requires a strong partnership between the other Resource Room teacher, the Speech and Language Pathologist and the School Psychologist. Together the Special Education team works closely with the counseling team, the administrative team and the Academic Support team to create pathways to success for all students requiring more academic support. We are looking for candidates with Resource Room experience as well as a strong understanding of IDEA, IEP and the associated paperwork. The Special Education Teacher plans and implements an instructional program that fosters learning and growth for students with disabilities.
